JHelioviewer sometimes freezes when attempting to remove a layer

When attempting to remove a layer, JHelioviewer will sometimes freeze and nothing will happen; buttons become unresponsive and no new messages appear in the console. At this point I usually have to kill JHelioviewer and relaunch it.

Let me know if there is anything else I can do to provide more information, or things to try in the debugger.
