when logging on or trying to load data, i get error

Hi,

When opening the program or trying to load images, everything opens but the loading of data fails. I get the error "An error occured while opening the file! Error in the server communication. Only chunked responses are supported."
(says "remote file" if on startup)
I've tried uninstall, reinstall and also using the multi-platform .jar file, same problem all the way.

Have attached the log from the command prompt which opens upon startup as it seems to have the error details in it (copied to a .doc file)

Hi! Are you operating behind a proxy server? Unfortunately, JHelioviewer does not work behind a proxy (see Bug #377351).

Thanks for replying so promptly.

Just trying to run this on my home PC with standard wireless internet connection. Please forgive me if this is a proxy (My computer lingo could do with a polish - all self taught!). However, I think this means it's not a proxy server??

My PC does act as the main PC in a (defunct) home network for file and printer sharing. Do you think it would be beneficial to shut down this network?

Definitely not behind a proxy. Have also shut down home network, reset router and twiddled a few knobs, all to no avail!

This bug(?) affects me too. I'm using a home PC with Windows7 64-bit, no proxy server. Have tried several times to install, uninstall and install again. But always get the "only chunked responses" error message. My last attempt a few minutes ago. (First attempts several months ago.)

I have exactly the same problem though on initial installation software worked fine. The error occurred after last JAVA update.
