Preferences doesn't save export path

Bug Description
Under "Preferences" I have changed the value of the Default Save Directory. I assumed this would allow me to set the path where I would like to save my exported images and movies. Unfortunately, each time I export the program doesn't default to the path I chose, so I have to navigate to that directory every time. If this is a bug, it's probably an easy one to fix. If it's not a bug, then the meaning of "Default save directory" in Preferences should be made more clear.
