Bug Description
When exporting medium size presentations (20 slides, 3 effects per slide) made with inkscape + jessyink, exporting to pdf is extremely slow (minutes).
Jessyink creates via firefox a svg file with 1 layer per sheet+effect. Every layer is exported to a single pdf. During save, there is an svg file created for every layer, with only this layer visible. This svg is than converted to pdf. This exporting is quite slow. Can this speed up?
I wrote a small python script that removes all the invisible layers. By this the export is much faster: https:/

Thank you for the contribution. I have to have a closer look at the script to see how to integrate it. I agree with you that minutes for a 20 slide presentation are too long. To make it easier to fix this problem, I would like to ask you for some more details:
What operating system were you using?
What version of inkscape were you using?
Can you provide the presentation you used for the benchmark (or a similar one showing the same problem)?
