It'll be great if you could implement XEP-0227 to jabberd2 to make it easy to migrate to/from it.

Well, one way in a very limited manner exists (https://github.com/viking/jabberd2-export) and I am working on the other way (https://gitlab.com/mcepl/xep227-to-jabberd2 which is a fork of https://github.com/remko/xep227-to-prosody).
