The python packaging tool distribute was originally a fork of setuptools. It was merged back into setuptools in June 2013, thereby making setuptools the default choice for packaging.

IUS will be deprecating our python*-distribute packages for corresponding python*-setuptools packages.

Build currently fails. Fixed upstream, waiting for a new release.

Setuptools 3.6 was release upstream. This resolve the test suite issue on python 3.4. I've built the following packages, which will be placed in the testing repos tonight.

python34u-setuptools

These packages have been in the testing repos for over three weeks. They will be placed in the stable repos tonight.

We are not pushing python34u-setuptools yet due to the fact that python34u is still undergoing testing.
