Bug Description
Currently, the Ironic deploy environment performs a full reboot of the node in order to boot the user image. This can be a lengthy operation, especially for nodes with large amounts of memory.
The Ironic deploy environment could be modified to use kexec(8) to quickly boot the user image instead. This could be done only for Glance images that have a property stating that they are compatible with kexec.
This enhancement is requested to meet a use case shared by some members of the Scientific SIG.
