Bug Description

I'm seeing failure to authenticate with the Ironic inspector if I try to configure it to use keystone_auth settings with anything other than:

admin_user = ironic
admin_password = <same password for the ironic user>

Ideally you could configure the Inspector API with a separate 'baremetal-introspection' keystone user that is different than the Ironic API. But this doesn't seem currently possible.

We've switching to keystoneauth recently. Could you please check if this error is still valid?

Looking at the code I believe we've fixed this bug. Please reopen if you find any issues with it.
