There is a set of common behaviours that IRC clients and bots often exhibit, such as handling nick collisions and automatic reconnection.

These can be handled in different ways for different situations so shouldn't be hard coded in to the lib.

But at the same time they are very common requirements so having one or more default implementations for use in practice and as example source would be valuable.
