Bug Description
_irc is not an official protocol in the IANA SRV records, thus making it rather difficult for SRV usage to become standardized.

Confirmed. If we can get more support for SRV usage, however, Sparta Project plans on attempting to obtain IANA recognization and an addition to their SRV records for _irc.
