cd command does not work on Windows

Bug Description
I install python and ipython (0.9.1) in their default locations. No changes to the configuration.
When I do:
> cd <something>
and then:
> pwd
it looks like the command worked, but when I do:
> ls
the list output is ALWAYS from c:\, not the current directory.
OS: Windows XP Pro Version 2002 Service Pack 3 (Swedish)
The problem was discusses on the <email address hidden> list, subject 'cd doesn't work on Windows', original post on nov 14th, 2008.

We still can't reproduce this, so there is nothing we can really do at this point. Sorry. If you figure anything out, let us know and we can pursue it.
