Bug Description

[Summary]As part of the Manual tests for Desktop, CDTS will attempt to change to all the video modes supported by the video driver.

Although Ubuntu detects 13 different resolutions, it can only change to a few of them - the others result in an error in CDTS.

Supported resolutions:
3840x2160(16:9)
2560x1440(16:9)
1920x1080(16:9)
1600x1200(4:3)
1680x1050(16:10)
1600x900(16:9)
1280x1024(5:4)
1152x864(4:3)
1280x720(16:9)
1024x768(4:3)
832x624(4:3)
800x600(4:3)

Board: TGL-Aaeon
Kernel: Linux ubuntu 5.13.0-1006-intel #5+testboot.010 SMP Fri Oct 8 16:06:52 CST 2021 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Test ID: com.canonical.certification::graphics/1_cycle_resolution_PCI_ID_0x9a78

[Steps to reproduce]
Run CDTS, select Manual Tests, Graphics

[Expected result]
The above test can use all available resolutions

[Actual result]
Only manages to test 4 modes: 3840x2160, 1600x1200, 1680x1050, 1280x1024

[Failure rate] 100%

I believe this be a problem with xrandr reporting the available resolutions with the inclusion of the scan mode i.e. "i" in these cases for "interlaced". I cannot find any bugs to indicate this is something we have seen before.

It would be useful to hear from someone familiar with the graphics stack to know if this is something that we need to modify the tests to support or maybe if it is a quirk introduced by the new graphics driver and should be fixed there or someone else in the stack.

Confirming the error messages are not critical to the test passing. I will update the test to handle these scan mode entries as they can be ignored.
