Description:
GSE open source media IP 2020Q3 has been released yesterday.
Intel 1st discrete products DG1/SG1 has been supported in Media IP and also AV1 decoding has been upstreamed. Today we bring the 20Q3 release with new supported platforms, new features and user experience improvement.
• New platforms. DG1/SG1 Xe discrete GPU and RKL integrated GPU have been supported.
• New codec enabled, AV1 8/10 bit decoding for both driver and MSDK, up to 8K video decoding and 16K still picture decoding.
• New MSDK API 1.34, to add 16k support in VP9e and improved efficiency of FPQ and enabled QP modulation(ICL+).
To embrace rich customer requirements, media IP will kick-off more frequently rolling release between each quarterly release from 20Q4.
