Bug Description

Description:
Mesa Vulkan VK_INTEL_performance_query extension

Adds support to Mesa and kernel for a new Vulkan extension called “VK_INTEL_performance_query” enabling exposure of Intel based GPU metric collection. Enable support for query based metrics in Linux Vulkan for Intel Graphics Performance Analyzers (Intel GPA), Enables metrics to be collected on Integrated graphics beginning with Broadwell (Skylake, Kabylake, Coffeelake, Icelake, …).
Intel GPA already supports Linux OpenGL hardware based metrics. Obtaining hardware metrics for Vulkan based workloads is essential to make GPA’s profiling capabilities usable.
Several internal customers and ISV’s rely on GPA to enable best in class game performance on Intel hardware.
Key for hardware design win that depends upon holistic Vulkan support in Linux including query based performance metric analysis.
