Bug Description

My system: Ubuntu 16.04/unity with xenial inkscape-trunk by devel team ppa installed.

I have an issue with menus that doesn't display correctly.
See a screenshot attachment...

This happened only with unity. (i have try on a default config account and a guest account)
Gnome, Kde, Mate... display menus correctly.

inkscape-trunk-gtk3 package (0.91+devel) display correctly menus too...

Perhaps same bug... inkscape 0.92.x doesn't display any lock or visibility icons on layer and object boxes..

Ah, thanks for dropping by - I think we met on the forums. Can you post a link to this issue there, if you're the same person?

In case that's help.

Here is a diff between inskape-trunk(no well menus) and inskape-trunk-gtk3(menus ok):

I'm sure you know, but
libavahi libgconf libgmp libgnomevfs libgnutls libhogweed libidn libnettle libp11 libtasn1 libutil are no more used in inkscape-trunk
and new libs used are libsoup and sqlite.

I don't know if this can be an explanation.

Assuming fixed on 1.0 as only GTK3 is supported.
