Printing problems

Bug Description

I have version 0.48.2 r9819 running on both Vista and Windows 7.

I create files with quite a lot of detail (~ 1 Mb size). Only a very small part of the file prints - i.e the earlier-created objects. So most of the paper is blank. Have also tried printing to PDF, same thing happens.

I had a *similar* problem with earlier versions but I suspect that later versions print less. I supply a demo file.

Your SVG file has lots of objects (516) with minimally reduced object opacity (96%), which causes most of the content to be rasterized when printing (PostScript does not support any kind of transparency). This rasterization process takes a long time (e.g. when saving a copy as PostScript file), and might be responsible for the failure to print the full content.

Could you test printing the attached modified version, and report back whether you get the expected result?
(Changes to the file: select all objects with a reduced opacity (via 'Edit > Find…') and change their opacity back to 100%)

Did you try to save a copy as PDF via 'File > Save a Copy…' (instead of printing via custom printer driver, which probably receives a PostScript version and then converts that file to PDF)?

Probably same problem as in:
Bug #1021237 “Drawing prints as blank page”

(Unfortunately no feedback by the reporter to the questions in comment #2)
