inkscape 0.48.2
when a tray to draw a rectangle with 'last used style' option selected, the stroke indicator switch to none, an draw is no possible, then back to 'This tool's own style' and the draw is possible

Sorry for the delay, your report was somewhat lost in the thousands of reports of our base.
Bug not reproduced on Windows XP, Inkscape 0.48.5 and trunk rev. 13791.
Could your issue be due to something wrong in your preferences? (such as an unintentional change of the stroke to none?).
Did you manage to apply a correct stroke value by selecting a color in the swatch (shift+click on the color)?
