Bug Description

I have Windows XP SP3 and Inkspace 0.48.1.2. I'm not use 0.48.2 because of some annoying bugs about displaying sliders in Fill and Line dialog and at moving Dialog properties window across the screen. Nothing critical, but I will wait for 0.48.3.

Well, problem is this. I can't print. The Print dialog box does not open at all. Maybe this problem is allready solved in 0.48.2.

For more information..... I got this info:
Error signature

AppName: inkscape.exe AppVer: 0.48.1.0 ModName: cnmui78.dll
ModVer: 0.3.0.0 Offset: 0005bbf2

And then Technical information.....
C:\DOCUME~1\UPORAB~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\61cf_appcompat.txt
I can't upload file here, so I put all content of this file here: (see attachment)

Does it happen with any file you use? If not, could you please provide an SVG file that makes Inkscape crash on your computer?

<off-topic>
For your information, the sliders bug will be fixed in 0.48.3, which should be released soon.

Happened to me on 0.48.2 - I think after I installed Gimp. I can see the print dialogue box behind the error message, but can't get past the error message.

"Inkscape encountered an internal error and will close now."

Makes no difference what file - pdf, svg. The only way I can get an export is to save as PDF.

Have updated Cairo and Macports, and that doesn't seem to have made any difference.

Have app zapped it, and the Gimp, then reinstalled Inkscape, but same thing happens.

Not very open-source literate, so don't expect much more intelligent comment than the above!

Cheers

By the way I'm on Mac Lion 10.7.4 and the error existed before my Lion Software update to 10.7.4 on 12 June 2012

I made another test.
This error occurs if I turn on "full page printing" in printer settinggs.
I have a printer Canon Pixma IP4200.

I must apologize for the mistake.
Right name of command is "borderless printing"

Yes

- I mean, are there any conditions under which you are able to print successfully?

Yes. Printing with borders.

That means, I can't print picture A4 without any borders 100%.
But printer is not problem. I can print borderless from other programs.

Can this be fixed? I'm thinking about getting some alternative software, as working around this using PDFs is too much of a limitation. I see it's high priority, but unassigned.

I'm only sorry I'm insufficiently IT literate to work it out.

By the way, if it helps. I can't even get to an option to turn off borderless printing. File + Print = error message, with the print dialogue box sometimes appearing behind the error message, but mostly not.

The error message isn't always the same, indicating there might be a couple of factors involved?

Anything else I can do to chase the logic down - please do ask.

Now I have InksCape 0.92.3 and Windows 10 64bit (and new comp) and new printer Canon Pixma iP7250.
The problem not exist any more. Because of more changes, now I am not sure what was the reason for error.

Anyway, thank you for all (flowers) and wish you merry christmas, happy new year, Live May Day, happy birthday, and etc.
