Bug Description
Following up from Bug #168980, which found that inkscape is using the "xpdf" interface to poppler... Xpdf is a legacy library, ancestor to poppler. Poppler still provides this legacy interface, but it's an optional feature that must be explicitly enabled when building poppler. So for modern use and easier building of inkscape by end users, this is a feature request to upgrade the pdfinput extension to use the direct/native poppler interfaces.
