Cursor keys don't move objects

In build 10736 (14/11/2011)
Windows 7 32 bit,
create a rectangle, try to move it with the cursor keys. Doesn't work.
Alt+cursor keys work fine.

Did you upgrade from 0.48.x recently (or use both versions alternately)? Open and close the preferences dialog once, if you run a recent development build after having worked with Inkscape 0.48 before - this will fix the issue.

Linking as duplicate to Bug #799848 in Inkscape: “Commands using 'Steps' values initially fail in trunk with preferences file from stable”. Please add a comment here and revert the duplicate status if you don't agree and think these are different issues.

Yes, I had 0.48 installed at the same time.
you're right, it works fine after opening and closing the prefs dialog!
