Bug Description
Starting with the upgrade from Kubuntu 11.04 to 11.10, Inkscape functions for fill&stroke and align don't work. Clicking the icons or using keyboard shortcuts cause the HD activity indicator to light, but nothing happens on-screen. This doesn't appear to be an issue for other Inkscape users based on response (and lack of) from the Inkscape Users mailing list.

Possibly related UI problem (filter primitives in the filter editor can no longer be drag&dropped in Inkscape on new Kubuntu 11.10 installation): sourceforge. net/mailarchive /message. php?msg_ id=28262671>
