export open rectangles to pdf or (eps) fails

Bug Description
If one tries to export an open unfilled rectangle (left or right border open) to pdf or (e)ps it will be exported as closed rectangle.

Unfortunately, this is an upstream bug in cairo (no longer present in current cairo git master).
Linking as duplicate to Bug #759154 “Open paths with aligned endpoints are closed in cairo-based exports (PDF/PS/EPS)” - please add a comment here and revert the duplicate status if you don't agree and think these are different issues.
