very dificult to handle texte/vectorisation

Hello guy's, first of all thank for that great program, Inkscape is very intuitive, and i find it easyer to handle that the illustrator (!!) but there is some function missing that make it very dificult sometime, for two years i want to ask severals implémentations, i miss so much in my work :

- it is not possible to add a contour to a text as "exterrior" or "intérrior" there is only the middle contour wich is an incrédible waist of time every time i wan't to make a texte thicker, or cut a differential space on monocrome logo, it's really a shame that inkscape miss the possibility to add a contour with the good options...

- Once the contour is applyed it is a real peine to vectorise it, if you do "text to vector" it will vectorise only the texte not the contour, if you do "vectorise the contour" it will vectorise the contour, fine, but will leave blank the texte ... Now what if the end user (me !!) want to vectorise the texte including it's contour ?
The best i found was : copy the text, past, add contour to one of the copy, on one copy "vectorise the texte" on the other copy "vectorise the contour" superposing the two vectors, do combine ..; oufff !!! What a work for a poor vectorised contoured font !!!!! Would it be more simple add a "vectorise the all thing" ??? A pdf export doe's it pretty well !!!!

- Filters really would be more efficient if it was possible to to adjust the opacity, every time i add a calque to apply a filter so i can adjuste the opacity of it ... Another great waist of time, wich is a shame for a production tool ....

- To finish, the vectors handle option are very versatile, "différence" work ... Sometime ... "unify" (the two selected objet ) work wrong most of times ...

Hope you paye attention to my request, the succès of a programe depends of how easy and fonctional it is

could'not have my texte (6caracteres) vectorized with it contour in one clean vector ...

Reboot, xp, CS5 did it in 5 seconds ...

You should make a report for each item, that way we can see and track them more easily.

I have a big respect for you guy's, but here you got the informations, unfortunatly, i am not a coder so a can't help you more ...

By the way, the possibility to export in jpeg would be highly appreciated (and usefull !)
