if we are inside a group of objects then 'show/hide other layers' option no longer works

Inkscape 0.48.1
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bits
In the layer pane, a useful function called "Show/hide other layers" can be called by right-clicking a layer.
This function will stop functioning, after you have entered a "group" of objects. This function remains unavailable even after you've existed the grouping.
Only fix is to restart inkscape.

Reproduced with Inkscape 0.48.2 and 0.48+devel r10669 on Mac OS X 10.5.8 (i386)

AFAICT the failure is limited to the current document window - it works again if you open a new document from within Inkscape or a second view of the same document (View > Duplicate Window).
