Bug Description
Error is reproducable on following os/Inkscape versions (and probably more)
Inkscape 0.48+devel r10508
OS: Windows XP sp2
Inkscape 0.48+devel r10414
OS: Windows 7
To reproduce:
* Make two objects (doesn't matter wich type). I refer to them as object1 and object2
* Get the transform dialog box (Shift+Ctrl+M). Enter a Horisontal distance, tex. 100 px
* Select object1, and move it bu clicking Apply button.
* Select object2.
* In the Transform dialog box, enter a different horisontal distance, tex. 200 px (do not click mouse or otherwise shift focus)
* While pointer is still in the text field, enter with keyboard Alt+A (MS windows - this trigger any button in smae window where a letter A in buttons text has an underscore)
* Take a good look at how far the object actually moved. It wasn't moved 200 px as expected but rather 100 px - or any number that was entered in that text box last time it was used to move something.

You need in some form or way confirm the input either by moving the focus out of the widget (with the mouse or the keyboard <TAB>) or confirm the new input with <Enter>. AFAICT all spinboxes in Inkscape's GUI to input numeric values act like this: only a focus-out event (via mouse or keyboard) will update the value internally used.
