Bug Description
Two findings:
1. When cycling objects in z-order using Alt+mouse wheel scroll (available in the pre 0.49 devel branch), the z-order stack is "wrapped". That is once the bottom-most (or top-most) object is selected turning the wheel scroll further causes the top-most (or bottom-most) object to be selected. IMHO a better solution would be to stop there, rather than wrap. This is because such feature is likely to be used in scenarios where the objects are difficult to distinguish from each other and the user might want to rely on the z-order position in the stack.
- Alternatively, Inkscape could indicate (by blinking or beeping?) that the z-order wrapping has just occurred.
2. Although using a mouse wheel is very convenient, many devices are not equipped with one, limiting the usefulness of this feature (because currently there are no other ways to access it). How about merging this function with Alt+click which is serving a similar purpose (minus dimming non-selected objects).
BTW, that's a great feature. Thanks!
