Bug Description
Inkscape 0.48+devel r10359
Ubuntu 11.04 - 64 bit
Inkscape renders a black rectangle when switching to outline mode and the document has text objects. Removing any text object, hiding the layer that contains text or converting the text to outlines solves the problem.
Apart from the black rectangle, Inkscape hangs momentarily when there are several text objects in the document (apparently the duration of this interactivity loss is proportional to the amount of text objects).

Reproduced on Mac OS X 10.5.8 (i386) with
- r10372, cairo 1.10.2 (X11 backend)
- r10365, cairo 1.11.2 (Quartz backend)
Does not affect current stable (0.48.x) or trunk < r10326 (before the merge of the 'cairo-rendering' branch).
Setting status to 'Medium' because Inkscape can hang/freeze with large files using a lot of text, and thus not allow to save latest changes (-> data loss).
