Interpolate problems

When I use interpolate a big circle to a small circle the pieces that are supposed to evenly fill the space between the reference. The interpolate operations goes all wierd. sometime the collection of objects are slanted to an angle of 15 degress. I tried to replicate this and it happened quite a few times but sometimes it does not do that. It is so wierd.

Which Inkscape version are you using? If you happen to reproduce it again, please save the file and attach it here. It would also be helpful to know the 'Interpolate…' settings used (e.g. make a screenshot of the dialog).

Could you attach the SVG file from the screenshot [1] here (i.e. to your report filed as bug #801732) instead of the other one so that we can first investigate whether it is indeed the same issue as bug #518768? If so, someone from the bug team will link the reports as duplicates.

I mention this because your result is slightly from the one described in bug #518768 - it might be that there is something else interfering with the expected result (e.g. a change of the original page size or orientation or a custom default template).

While I can easily reproduce the reported issue in bug #518768, I haven't been able to do so with your reported problem (not even with the screenshot you attached to bug #518768 earlier).

Disregard my earlier comment:

Steps to reproduce:
1) draw a circle
2) draw an ellipse
3) center the ellipse on the vertical axis relative to the circle (e.g. 'Relative to: First selected')
4) 'Extensions > Generate from Path > Interpolate…'

-> the 'translate()' transformation of the aligned ellipse is ignored by the extension and the interpolation is done between the position of the two shapes before they have been aligned.

Linking as duplicate to bug #518768. Please add a comment here and revert the duplicate status if you don't agree and think these are different issues.
