mouse button inputs for drawing/editing has no effect

I can't draw or edit shapes anymore. (both for new files and for existing files)

 I can select menu items and tools, but when I try to edit a shape, pan, zoom on the view (everything that should happen in the drawing window and should be triggerd by mouse buttons) has no effect on Inkscape.
I tried to uninstall it and to install previous versions, and I get the same result.
I checked my mouse with some other software, everyting is ok.
I've been using Inkscape for months , everything was OK, but this morning I have this strange behaviour. (maybe due to a windows update? )

[ I'm under Windows 7,32 bits and I use the Inkscape-0.48.1-2.exe installer ( I also tried with previous packages=> same issue) ]

Do you use an extended input device (tablet) with your mouse?

Yes! I think the pen was near the tablet and prevented buttons to
act.
Everything seems to be ok now!

Maybe..(mine is a wacom, too..)

Marked duplicate of Bug #403421 “Wacom Bamboo Tablet on Windows, pen tool works on toolbars but not on the document”.
Note that the related report is now fixed in 0.48.3 and 0.48.4. Don't hesitate to revert the duplicate status if you still run into the same issue with a recent Inkscape version.
