Bug Description

Bitmap editors list is nagging.
If I pay with my wallet for photoshop, I really mean that gimp&co is not for my needs. Must therefore Inkscape be inconvenient? Is it a message to buy also Illustrator then or what?

I think an option to browse for a specific program is necessary.

For polite suggesting/propagating, I see two options
1. Inkscape should check if the software it suggests is installed, instead of listing KDE specific somethings on windows. When options found, they should be displayed besides option to browse for something else.
2. There could simply be links to check out and download available open source bitmap editors. Would be quite nice to point out new improvements with each Inkscape version and and suggest trying them out. But also, non-compatibles with current OS shouldn`t be suggested.
