Bug Description

I have a sample drawing which has an array with angular manipulation. If I try to save it as eps or dxf, objects (also paths) looses their original transform info and goes somewhere not related. I tried both duplicating, cloning none of them worked and produced same results.

Looking to the codes inside the eps file, I can see that normally inkscape uses original pivot point for transform position transform, and new pivot point for angular transform. But while exporting position pivot becomes rotation pivot and additional position info moves the objects to unrelated locations. Or at least I think so. But in fact, changing the rotation pivot back to original position didn't help at all for the clones.

Attached file includes original and exported files, so you can easily reproduce the bug.

Inkscape 0.48.0 r9654
Windows XP Pro SP3 (Build 2600)

a) saving a copy as EPS:
I can't detect an error in your included EPS file, nor when exporting to EPS with 0.48.0 and 0.48.1 (EPS file viewed with Apple's Preview.app and ghostscript 9.01, as well as opened in Inkscape).
Could you clarify if you added the EPS sample as a reference to compare the error in the DXF file? If not - which viewer do you use to verify the EPS file?

b) saving a copy as DXF (R13):
reproduced with Inkscape 0.48.0 (verified with QCad 2.0.5.0 Community Edition)
not reproduced with Inkscape 0.48.1 (duplicate of bug #600473)

c) Clones are not supported for DXF export, you need to unlink them first.

(tested with Inkscape 0.48.0 and 0.48.1 on OS X 10.5.8 (i386))

Proposing to link as duplicate to bug #600473 (fixed in current trunk and for 0.48.1).

I'm using ArtCAM 2008 to view the EPS file (importing for manufacturing). But I've opened the EPS file with correct export options (export are is drawing, checked) with Adobe Illustrator CS5, and the file was fine. Looks like ArtCAM is a bit troubled with EPS import.

But the DXF problem remains the same. I've unlinked all the clones and converted all objects to paths. Most of the drawings got better but I've lost some of the circles.

The concerning files are attached.

Yes, as previously described, it's a known bug in Inkscape 0.47 and 0.48.0, which has been addressed for the up-coming bug-fix release (0.48.1) - see attached DXF file exported with Inkscape 0.48.1 (displays correctly in QCad and in SolidWorks eDrawings), as well as the previously attached file in comment #3 'Test 01-0481.dxf'.

Linking as duplicate to bug #600473. Please add a comment and revert the duplicate status if you don't agree and think these are different issues.

I've downloaded 0.48.1 (r10061-201102212008) and it has successfully converted the file to DXF, as you said.
