Bug Description

When copying a color in the fill and stroke dialog and pasting it in flood color color selector in filters editor the color name pastes correctly in it but when you do enter or click on ok it doesn't work. Then if you re-open the color selector you see that it came back to the previous color name.

Did you strip the trailing alpha values from the RGBA notation in the fill&stroke dilaog (and keep or add the '#' sign)?

Ivan, could you please provide more details on the steps to reproduce this issue (specific shape or drawing context)?

I only noticed today that the name ff6600ff displayed in Fill and stroke dialog was different to #FF6600 displayed in Filters Editor color picker (see on attachment).

The same capitalization of the hex values happens in the stock color chooser widget of GTK+ 2.20.x and GTK+ 2.22.x on OS X 10.5.8 (tested with most recent build from trunk r9995). AFAICT it doesn't cause the failure as you describe.

I also tested with different locale (LANG="en_US.UTF-8", LANG="fr_FR.UTF-8") but could not reproduce the bug.

Possibly related to using KDE/Qt? Does it change/patch GTK+ (and its default color chooser [1]) or does the default theme used for GTK+ apps under KDE have an influence (IIRC gtk-qt-engine, or qt-curve)?

@Ivan - is this bug still present with current trunk, on your system?

Are you using Oxygen-gtk as theme/theme engine, and if so, does it also occur with a different gtk theme engine?

Sorry ! It was my mistake ! It's still present in 0.91 and Kubunu 14.04 (with any GTK theme)

However pasting value works correctly inside custom filters UI
