Table tool feature request

I would like to see the table tool like in CorelDRAW.
Inkscape 0.48, Windows XP. Also I use Ubuntu 10.10

It seems to me that your request is identical to a previous request before.
Please add a comment here and revert the duplicate status if you don't agree.
Bug #170772 has been marked as invalid though because you can create a rectangle of one cell's size, make some 11 other copies, select them all, and go to "Object" > "Rows and Columns" in the menu. Enter 4 rows by three columns, adapt the spacing if necessary and press the arrange button. You have to perform a few steps, but at least you can mimick a table.

Actually, it is much simpler to do with the feature "Create tiled clones". After you created a rectangle, see the menu "Edit" > "Clone" > "Create tiled clones".
Choose P1 als symmetry. When shifts, scales, angles are 0%, you'll obtain a table. If you want to change the colour or line with of a cell, click on the original rectangle and choose "Edit" > "Clone" > "Unlink clone".
