Undo after drag path causes inkscape to crash

With node tool selected-

Edit a path by dragging on the line, itself (in between two nodes).

Undoing this action results in a crash.

It only sees to happen when there is a path with a sufficiently large number of nodes.

Possibly same issue as bug #544599 “Node editing causes segmentation fault” (unconfirmed)?

Can you reproduce it consistently? Could you attach a backtrace and the console messages of Inskcape when it crashes?

The console tells me segmentation fault.
It seems to happen / be most reproducible, when the nodes are selected, and the handles go off the screen.
I'm attaching screenshots, the file I used to demonstrate the bug, and a backtrace.

reproduced with Inkscape 0.48+devel r9841 from modevia on OS X 10.5.8
but not reproduced with local build r9841 (debug build using CFLAGS="-g -O3 -Wall")
