Bug Description
Under Inkscape Preferences > Tools > Node, we have the option to set the color used for displaying temporary path outlines.
However only the opacity of this setting is actually obeyed -- path outlines are always displayed in red color. Naturally, this is an annoyance when working on paths that have a red fill or stroke themselves.

Reproduced on Xubuntu 15.04, with Inkscape 0.91.
Not reproduced with trunk rev. 14309. Now persistent path outlines use the selected color.
