Shortcuts for selecting adjacent nodes based on spatial/linear distance reversed in 0.48

In previous versions of inkscape with node tool selected and with pointer placed over node, holding control key and scrolling with mouse wheel was action for selecting nodes on path on which hovered node belongs. In inkscape v.048 same action (ctrl + wheel) select other nodes differently (i think that select nodes by distance from starting node).
I think that behavior of this action was more useful in earlier versions of inkscape.

Not reproduced with Inkscape 0.48 and 0.48+devel r9785 on OS X 10.5.8, comparing the selection of nodes to Inkscape 0.47.

The same nodes are selected in all Inkscape versions with the two available modes for selecting 'adjacent' nodes:
a) hover a node and use the scrollwheel: selects nodes based on the spatial distance from the cursor
b) hover a node and use 'Ctrl+scrollwheel': selects nodes based on the linear distance measured along the path, only nodes in the same sub-path can be selected.

Tested with default preferences and those I normally use.

Please test again and make sure you either press 'Ctrl' in both Inkscape version, or that you select adjacent nodes by scrolling the mouse wheel without using a modifier (again in both versions).

Sorry - made a mistake:

In Inkscape 0.48 the two modes are switched:
a) mouse wheel: selects adjacent nodes in the same sub-path (based on linear distance)
b) <Ctrl> + mouse wheel: selects nodes based on spacial distance from the cursor

-> in parts confirmed: afaict the same selection modes are available, but their keyboard shortcuts have been switched.

It works fine with no modifier key pressed (only mouse wheel on hovered node select nodes in same subpath). We can close topic now
