Not reproduced with Inkscape 0.48 and 0.48+devel r9772 on OS X 10.5.8: repeated calls to 'Path > Trace bitmap…' work as expected with all options of the dialog displayed and functional preview area (with the same or different linked bitmaps in the same drawing selected).

Same as bug #241287 “Trace bitmap dialog empty on second call”?
<https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/241287>

or same as bug #631444 “Trace bitmap preview broken”?
<https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/631444>

This bug happens to me using 0.48.1 (and earlier versions) on Ubuntu(studio) 10.10

The first trace works fine and as expected, but if the pop-up window is closed, the second and subsequent times that it is called, it shows as blank. (See screenshot attached).

The problem does not manifest itself using the same version of Inkscape inside Linux Mint within Virtual Box running on the same machine.
