Text describing selection superimposes change description in the notification area

For example when scaling a group of objects by dragging a corner with the mouse, a text showing details of the change, like % scaling and position, appears for a fraction of second every time the mouse moves, and disappears to give place to "group of 3 ofjects...", which should be there only after releasing the mouse button.

Most noticeable when grid is visible and snapping occurs while dragging, which causes the status line message to immediately switch to display the basic selection message (number and type of objects). The transform message seems to stay displayed until mouse release after mouse movement stopped only if grid visibility is toggled off, but snapping still active.

Otherwise the transform information is only displayed in the status line while the mouse pointer is moving.

Same issue when using color gestures: the detailed notifications about the changed color values are overwritten by the messages from the select tool about the content of the selection.

This setting for the selector tool
    * Inkscape Preferences > Tools > Selector
      When transforming, show:
            [ ] Objects
            [x] Box outline
makes the difference and avoids having the transformation notification being overwritten by the message of the selection content (at least for transformations with the mouse).

I'm unable to replicate this issue in Inkscape 1.1-dev (c990a67, 2020-04-09), Windows 10. While in 0.92.4, "Group of n objects" is displayed for a split second everytime I start moving the handle, this does not happen in 1.1. Also the setting given in Comment #3 makes no difference.

Please reopen on http://inkscape.org/report if the problem occurs again.
