No older versions I believe, un-installed 0.47 and then installed 0.48 with the installer.

I only have one copy of inkscape.exe and .com in C:\program files\inkscape\

There are a few entries in the registry like this.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Adobe.SVGCtl\shell\Inkscape\command]
@="\"C:\\Program Files\\Inkscape\\Inkscape.exe\" \"%1\""

Sounds Windows 7 related?

Any ideas what value it is trying to write?

Is it for noting recently used files?
