SVG file opening failed (inkscape:zoom)

The file saved 2 days ago cannot be opened anymore (even with 0.48), the CPU load and memory footprint shows Inkscape activity.

I found a workaround to correctly load the file into inkscape, I changed (inkscape:zoom="1.8101934") to (inkscape:zoom="0.8101934").

I'm reporting this bug because it seems critical for a lambda user, the inscape activity let me think about an endless loop in the filter rendering.

Not reproduced with Inkscape 0.48 and 0.48+devel r9731 on OS X 10.5.8:

The file 'PN-AlarmeIntrusionBroken.svg' (unchanged) opens in Inkscape without error (besides the missing referenced bitmap files) and it does not hang when rendering the initial view / zoom level (but it takes some seconds for rendering, because it has to render it twice - the window is resized to full-screen mode).

Possibly similar issue as in bug #615556 “inkscape crashes on opening file”?

Can you test loading the file (without changing the zoom level) without loading the bitmap files as well? (i.e. temporarily move them to a different location, in the file manager).

The same thing happened when bitmaps are not found.

I'm adding something new, when the file is finally opened and I zoom-in/zoom-out quickly (with mousewheel) on the white rectangle with blue stroke on the bottom right of the page a crash occurred. I've done a trace of it:

If Inkscape is opened from gdb, I'm able to open original file without modification

Reproduced on Ubuntu 10.04, Inkscape trunk revision 9742.
It take forever to open the image with the original zoom, but unzooming with Ctrl+MMB solves the issue.
No change when run from gdb.
