Most of fonts have far more than simply a normal and a bold weight, and the only way to correctly choose the font-weight today is to go to svg code editing. Now that Inscape have added lot of typographic options (spacing, rotating, line height and others), a real font weight selection option have to be considered. (toggling ligatures and other stylistic alternatives is also something that could be added, when available is open-type fonts) Thanks!
