Kerning shortcuts Alt+< and Alt+> doesn't work anymore

This problem affects Inkscape 0.47+devel r9492 on Windows Vista and Ubuntu Linux 10.04.

alternatively use the GUI controls for line, letter and word spacing on the text toolbar.

@Tav - it seems the shortcuts for letter spacing are the only ones that fail to work in current builds from trunk (shortcuts for line spacing work as well as those for kerning and shifting). Do you mind looking into this regression as well? Thank you in advance for any comments ;-)

I have just noticed that the these shortcuts works again (r9544). Could anybody confirm that?

tested with r9542:

letter spacing (Alt+>) works on highlighted text, but not on current line/paragraph [1]

[1] i.e. the letter spacing shortcut seems to work only within a <tspan> with letter-spacing ≠ 0 (or on highlighted text)

Still doesn't work as expected on Windows XP, Inkscape revision 11649.
When highlighting some letters in a line, kerning with the shortcuts is ineffective and Inkscape outputs warnings in the console:
WARNING **: Inkscape currently only supports color-interpolation-filters = sRGB

When placing the cursor somewhere in the line with nothing selected, kerning applied to the whole text object.
