Bug Description
Binary package hint: inkscape
When using Inkscape, it crashes, often locking up the entire desktop. I have not figured out a particular action that causes the crash, or even how long Inkscape must be used before it crashes. Often the crash is so severe that I must ssh to my computer from another machine and run "killall inkscape".

Hi Robert,
Please could you install debugging symbols and run Inkscape under gdb as described at https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/Backtrace
If/when you manage to trigger a crash, please could you upload a backtrace? Without it, there's not much that the developers can do to fix the bug yet.
