Deleting a gradient stop using Shape tools deletes the object

With gradient editing enabled for tools other than Gradient tool stops can be selected but when you hit Del the object is deleted.

It also happens with Tweak, Spray and Zoom tools. Tested on 9364.

using <Backspace> instead of <Del> (no <Del> key on the laptop keyboard)

Changing importance to 'Wishlist' (feature request): Deleting a gradient stop works as described in the manual [1]: The keyboard shortcut <Del> (or <Backspace>) to delete a gradient stop is only available in the Gradient tool context. Use 'Ctrl+Alt+click' to delete a gradient stop in other shape tools and the node tool context.

Deleting the selected gradient stops with the <Delete> or <Backspace> keys should now work with all the other tools - node, tweak, zoom, rect, 3dbox, arc, star, spiral, spray (when 'Enable Gradient Editing' pref is on)
