font change impossible

when I select the text and will use a different font it don't works.
the size change is possible.

I work with suse/linux with version 0.46.
I saw the new "Letzte stabile Version: 0.47"
but it isn't available for suse/linux !?

Many font related bugs have been fixed in Inkscape 0.47 and font handling will be further improved in Inkscape 0.48.

Known workarounds for a dysfunctional font selector in 0.46:
- either use the 'Text and Font' dialog to select and apply a font to the selected text object
- or install the 'Bitstream Vera' font family which is used by Inkscape as default font and has been reported to prevent the font selector in Inkscape 0.46 from working if missing.
