Bug Description
Binary package hint: inkscape
To reproduce:
* File->Open
* Choose an Adobe Illustrator (.ai) file and click the "Open" button
>> The PDF Import Settings dialog opens
* Click the "Cancel" button
>> An error dialog appears with the message "Failed to load the requested file <path>"
I don't think it is really appropriate for an error message to be displayed, because I explicitly told Inkscape to cancel the import... i.e. Inkscape did exactly what I asked, so there is no reason for me to see an error message.

I reported this bug, so again I don't want to be the one to confirm/invalidate it. Any thoughts from upstream about the appropriateness of this error message?
