Inkscape hangs when selecting CJK fonts in the Glyphs dialog

Tested on Ubuntu 9.10, Inkscape bzr rev. 9273, default preferences.

Inkscape hangs (sometimes 2-3 minutes on a 2 years old computer) when selecting a font containing CJK characters with the new Glyph dialog, and hangs again when changing the font size or style. Everything works well with other fonts such as DejaVu or Liberation.

Could you please set the default script value to 'common' instead of 'all' in order to reduce the number of glyphs and prevent Inkscape from hanging?

reproduced with Inkscape 0.47+devel r9273 on OS X 10.5.8

choosing 'Arial Unicode MS' in the font list of the glyph dialog takes about 70s to create the list of available glyphs.

Added a drop-down control to select Unicode range and switched it to the default of "Basic Latin" instead of script to "common".
