after opening .eps file, the temporary file is not deleted

running Windows XP, Inkscape 0.47 r22583 (Nov 21 2009)
- when I open an .eps file, it loads normally and it creates a temporary file as normal, in the directory C:\Documents and Settings\Alvin Penner\Local Settings\Temp\, as expected.

- however, the temporary files are not deleted even after closing Inkscape. Attached are some sample names from recent trials.

just writing to note that these temporary files are actually .pdf files, despite what the extension says

Is this in any way related to Bug #512681 “import eps from read only folder”?

I can confirm this with Inkscape 0.47 on Windows XP. It's not related to bug 512681, since different temporary files are involved - see my comment there: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/512681/comments/6

running Windows 10, Inkscape 0.92pre3 15195, I can no longer reproduce this bug.

when loading an eps file, the following temporary file is created:
12/11/2016 11:19 AM 16,560 ink_ext_XXXXXX.svgVQK1RY
however, it gets automatically deleted as soon as the PDF import dialog is acknowledged
