Bug Description
When the attached inkscape drawing is saved as PDF, it displays differently in acroread, okular, evince, and xpdf; see the attached screendump. acroread is the only one that looks like the inkscape window.
The attached zipfile contains the original svg drawing, the drawing saved in pdf, and a screendump showing it rendered 4 different ways.
This is inkscape 0.47 on Ubuntu karmic.
Reproduced with
- Xpdf 3.02:
the PDF file from the attached archive (created with cairo 1.8.8)
renders with incorrect opaque radial gradients
Not reproduced with
- Apple's Preview.app (Mac OS X 10.5.8):
PDF file (created with cairo 1.8.8) renders correctly
- Evince 2.30.3 (poppler 0.16.6, cairo 1.10.2):
PDF file (created with cairo 1.8.8) renders correctly
- Inkscape 0.48.2 and 0.48+devel r10626:
PDF file (created with cairo 1.8.8) correctly on-canvas
thumbnail preview on import is incorrect
- Xpdf 3.02:
new PDF file created from the SVG file with
Inkscape (poppler 0.16.6, cairo 1.10.2) renders correctly
Probably the same (or a related) issue as
Bug #538749 “opaque radial gradients don't export to pdf correctly”
Proposing to close as 'Invalid' in Inkscape -> the issue seems to have been fixed upstream (in poppler and/or cairo).
