Feature Request: Link to GIMP

Hi!

Since I use Inkscape mainly to compose Images that consist of photographs I would like to be able to jump to GIMP (that's what I use for image manipulation) by double clicking on an imported image.

I believe that you should be able to right-click an image in Inkscape and there should be an option such as "Edit in Image Editor".

no, there is no such Option. Maybe I should mention that I'm working in Inkscape 0.46.

The feature was added to Inkscape 0.47. I would recommend upgrading if you can as there have been a lot of improvements since Inkscape 0.46.

Note: this feature in its current implementation doesn't work on win32 platforms, and not out-of-the-box on osx with 'Gimp on OS X' installed.
